2019 (Interim)

Venue: Stephen's place @ Gordon Park

 

With 2018 being our first year without a chilli night, it was decided to take the opportunity for an early 2019 event with the hopes we can catch up with another in our traditional December home later in the year. This was also our most hurriedly put together event with recipes decided on at the shop a few hours before due to the extreme schedules of everyone involved, yet was one of our finest feasts (and earliest nights due to life-induced events and exhaustion!).

Cuisine:
Fresh chilli pasta with tamarind sambal prawns (Stephen)

Super hot, but with masses of flavour, this was an absolute winner becoming one of the hottest dishes we've had at chilli night but also one of the tastiest.

 

Chilli braised pork ribs with mash (Stephen) Recipe
Beautiful chilli flavours and a very nice dish overall, although not "chilli night hot". 

 

Chocolate Chilli Pots with Vanilla Ice Cream (Tim)
A delicious dessert with the very hot chilli flavours in the chocolate being offset nicely by the ice cream. Incredibly decadent, this is necessarily a dessert of quality over quantity.
