2020 didn't get any better, so when Bryce found himself in Brisbane, we took the opportunity for a 'real' chilli night, given that the uncertainty of borders meant we had no idea when we might get to do it again. Not to mention that in the worst mental health year the world has seen in modern times, having an extra chilli night can't possibly be a bad thing. Frankly, in terms of cuisine, this was not one of our best, but the company and wine were outstanding as usual.

Cuisine:
Dumplings with Szechuan Chilli Sauce (Tim)

A delicious and flavoursome chilli sauce with dumplings as the delivery mechanism. Amazing sauce, but points off for store-bought dumplings. 

 

Chilli Prawns & Spicy Chorizo Pasta (Bryce)
Delicious, succulent prawns delivered a hearty and satisfying main.

 

Spicy Thai Fruit Salad with Vanilla Bean Ice Cream (Stephen)
An interesting recipe for fruit salad with shrimp paste that ended up tasting like.... Fruit salad with shrimp paste. Epic inedible fail. Vanilla ice cream was great.
